The clean boost side adds up to 20dB of transparent gain and can be used independently or in tandem with the compressor section.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eStrymon designed the OB.1 around a true optical compression circuit paired with a JFET-based clean boost, a combination that keeps the signal path transparent while adding dynamic control.
