The Lightning Reverb is the perfect Matchless amp. It's got enough power to move air, but it isn't crushingly loud like the C30, and it is way lighter and more portable as well. The reverb is lush, and the tone is outrageously great.
This example from 2001 is a killer. If you're not familiar with the amps, just take a look at the build quality in our pics. What these guys do has always been amazing - they spare no expense. The cabinet, tolex, transformers, components - everything is top notch.
The Celestion G12 Alnico Gold is a brilliant upgrade. Other than that change, the amp is all original and it is nice and clean!
I am good friends with the gentleman who has owned this amp for a good while. He takes great care of his gear and always gets a new Tuki cover for each amp in his stash. The cover is included. Being that it's been under cover for years, the only notable wear is on the handle.
