This beautiful Martin A Mandolin is from 1925 and it is completely original.  It comes with a nice, aftermarket hardshell case.

Martin has a long-standing reputation for crafting high-quality acoustic instruments, and their mandolins are no exception.

Martin A Mandolins are known for their excellent craftsmanship, tonal quality, and attention to detail. They are built using traditional techniques and materials, resulting in instruments that offer a rich and resonant sound.

These mandolins typically feature a body constructed from solid tonewoods such as spruce for the top and mahogany or maple for the back and sides. The use of solid wood contributes to the instrument's ability to produce a warm and balanced tone.  This example features a teardrop-shaped body with an oval soundhole.  These models are known for their balanced tone, projection, and traditional aesthetics. They are available in different tonewood combinations, including spruce tops with mahogany or maple backs and sides as you see here.

Martin A Mandolins often incorporate a traditional A-style design, which is characterized by a teardrop-shaped body with an oval soundhole. They typically have a scale length of around 14 inches and four pairs of strings, tuned in fifths.

In terms of aesthetics, Martin A Mandolins exhibit the meticulous attention to detail that Martin is known for. They feature elegant appointments such as tasteful binding, intricate rosettes, and a high-quality finish.

These mandolins are popular among professional musicians, enthusiasts, and collectors alike. They are well-regarded for their playability, responsiveness, and the ability to deliver a balanced and clear tone across the instrument's range.

The neck and frets are excellent despite the vintage of the instrument with the original T Bar frets showing little wear.

There are no cracks or repairs, no finish overspray, no issues!
