Action sits at 2\/32\" on the first string and 3\/32\" on the sixth at the 12th fret — low and comfortable. The guitar plays easily and feels lively.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eMartin produced the 0-17 from 1906 through 1948, making this example one of the last of the run. There were 499 made in 1948.  These guitars were marketed as a working-player's instrument at an accessible price point, but the build quality is fully vintage Martin. The 0-17 was discontinued after 1948, so this is a final-year example of a long-lived model. Collector interest in all-mahogany Martins has grown steadily, and the 0-size body remains one of the most practical vintage Martins for regular playing use.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe 0-size body measures 13-1\/2\" at the lower bout with a 24.75\" scale length and 1-5\/8\" nut width. The fretboard and bridge are Brazilian rosewood — a detail that adds collector value and contributes to note clarity and sustain. The soft V neck profile at .922\" at the first fret and 1.039\" at the tenth is comfortable and well-suited to period playing styles.
