Some guys have all the luck!\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe Maestro Fuzz-Tone FZ-1 was introduced in 1962 and revised as the FZ-1A in 1965. In 1968 the circuit was redesigned by Robert Moog, using a nine-volt power supply and silicon transistors, and labeled the FZ-1B. It is a two-transistor silicon circuit, giving a harder, more defined clipping character than the germanium FZ-1 and FZ-1A.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThis is the cleanest FZ-1B we have encountered.
