These are not batch-processed or chemically shortcut — Murphy worked each guitar by hand, which is why aged examples from this era remain among the most sought-after Les Paul reissues on the market. The body is solid, non-weight-relieved mahogany — no chambering, no routing shortcuts — which contributes to the sustain and resonance this platform is known for. Single-ply cream Royalite binding runs the body. The ABR-1 Tune-O-Matic bridge sits on a lightweight aluminum stop-bar tailpiece. Kluson-style single-line, single-ring tuners with keystone buttons are correct for the period reference. Burstbucker 1 reads 8.38k at the neck; Burstbucker 2 is installed at the bridge.
