{"product_id":"gibson-1952-es-175-body-husk-headstock-repair","title":"Gibson 1952 ES-175 Body Husk Headstock Repair, Good","description":"\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eNo sales tax for US customers outside California.\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThis Gibson 1952 ES-175 body husk in sunburst is in good condition.  The headstock was broken and repaired by the previous owner.  He did a remarkably good job - he routed in a slot on the back of the headstock\/neck transition where he fit and shaped a spline to reinforce the repair, and someone did an excellent job painting it afterward.  The previous owner's wife told me that her husband was a cabinet maker when I said, \"Someone knew what they were doing when they repaired this!\".  \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eIt has a maple body with binding, a mahogany neck with a C profile, and a rosewood fretboard with mother of pearl parallelogram inlays. The neck finish is partly original, and the body weighs just 3 lbs 15 oz.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe neck has a headstock repair, and there is an active crack on the lower bout side between the strap button\/tailpiece hole and the output jack hole.
