check out that top and back!\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eGibson built just 712 ES-335TDs in 1965, adding another 1038 in transparent cherry finish (ES-335TDC).\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e1965 was a year of transitions for Gibson guitars.  Hardware was changing from nickel to chrome.  This guitar has mostly chrome parts, but the original ABR-1 bridge is nickel.  The bigger change was the width of the nut, which changed from 1 11\/16\" to a narrower 1 9\/16\".  This is a narrow-nut version.  \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eOverall, the guitar is in excellent or better condition.  There are some smallish dings here and there, the only one that is really noticeable is along the back edge, on the binding, as pictured.  \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThis is the consummate vintage guitar.  It has mojo, but not because it is beat up and heavily worn -
