The only change is the Weber Alnico Signature 8S speaker that is currently installed.  The original 1964 CTS 8\" speaker is included.  I didn't try the original, but the Weber sounds killer! \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eAs far as Champs go, this configuration is pretty rare, especially in this condition.  As you can see, the cabinet is the same as the narrow-panel tweed Champ from the mid 50s through the early 60s.  The tweed covered versions carried into the era of Fender's white and brown amps.  When the blackpanel era began, Fender used up the older tweed Champ cabinets and modernized their look with black tolex and silver sparkle grille to match the rest of the line.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThis amp came in as part of a collection that has sat for at least a handful of years.  I looked it over and decided to test the tubes and run it up on my variac before doing any work on it and was pleasantly surprised to find that it runs really well as it sits.  So I'm leaving it in its original state in case someone would like to keep it pristine.  If you plan to use the amp regularly, I'd recommend a filter cap update and a change to a grounded power cable.  I can do the work for an additional $100.  \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eBoth transformers are original. There are no repairs of any kind to the cabinet, chassis, or internal components. The cabinet is in near mint condition. The grille is in very good condition with a small stain in the upper right corner.
