{"product_id":"fender-1959-princeton-5f2-a-tweed-amp","title":"Fender 1959 Princeton 5F2-A Tweed, Serviced, Excellent","description":"\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eNo sales tax for US customers outside California.\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThis Fender 1959 Princeton 5F2-A in tweed is in excellent condition.  It actually strikes me as better than excellent, but there is a changed output transformer that weighs against the overall cleanliness and the originality of the rest of the amp.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe Tweed Princeton is a killer little amp.  If you like Champs, you really need to move up to the bigger box and added power you get here, plus you actually get a tone knob!  This amp is so clean, and the masking tape inside still lives on with the name Lupe written on it.  The tubes were tested and move to you with the amp, vintage\/US made tubes: RCA 5Y3GT rectifier, a Raytheon 6V6 power tube, and a 12AX7 in the preamp.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe output transformer is a Schumacher (code 606, date code 140) and is not original - it is from 1971 and is correct for a 71 Princeton Reverb. The handle is a reproduction part, the filter caps and bypass caps have been updated, and the power cable has been changed to a grounded one. The power transformer is an original Triad (code 660, date code 79 B). The covering, cabinet, grille, baffle, chassis, speaker and cone, knobs, and potentiometers are all original, with no cabinet, baffle, or chassis repairs.
