The improvements over its predecessor include a higher-brightness display mode, expanded low-B and high-A range for bass and guitar in alternate tunings, and the same buffered bypass and output muting that made the TU-2 a pedalboard staple for decades. The TU-3 runs on standard 9V DC (Boss PSA-type) or a single 9V battery and passes power to downstream pedals via its DC output.
