This 2009 Fender Custom Shop Custom Deluxe Stratocaster in Honey Blonde is a beautifully spec’d example made even more special with factory Abigail Ybarra–wound pickups. Known as one of the most legendary pickup winders in Fender history, Ybarra’s initials “AY” mark some of the finest Strat pickups ever produced—highly articulate, harmonically rich, and unmistakably vintage-voiced.

Abigail Ybarra wound pickups at Fender from the late 1950s until her retirement in 2013, shaping the tone of Strat legends from Hendrix to Clapton. Custom Shop models featuring her initials are highly coveted for their authenticity and musicality, making this Strat both a premium player and a collector-grade instrument.

The ash body shows through the translucent Honey Blonde finish, giving this Strat serious visual elegance. A highly figured, birdseye maple neck with a modern “C” profile, 9.5" radius, and 22 medium-jumbo frets delivers ultra-comfortable playability and smooth bending. The premium Custom Shop fit and finish round out an instrument that blends luxury looks with heritage tone.

Some players just don't dig the relic thing - if that's you, this is your guitar!  It looks pretty much brand new, the frets show the lightest wear, and the guitar set up perfectly with room in the truss rod for future neck relief adjustments.  There are no changes, repairs, or issues whatsoever.  It has a cool mix of 50's, reissue looks with modern hardware, including the stock, locking tuners.

The guitar is pretty light too, weighing just 8 pounds, 3 ounces.

The COA, original cable, and all the original paperwork are included in the original case.

At Mahar’s Vintage Guitars, every guitar is inspected, photographed accurately, and professionally set up.
