These aluminum neck banjo ukuleles came to exist in the 50's under the Dixie name.  Dixie instruments had a cast rim as well as the cast neck.  Werco seems to have been in the business of making drums, so they employed a wood rim, including a blue sparkle wrap that looks like an old Ludwig drum.

Coincidentally we purchased a blue sparkle Framus tenor banjo when we picked up this Werco.  Check our stock for that cool 60's banjo.

This isn't the best playing instrument, but it sure looks cool.  The tone is pretty crazy.  A little work with shims could get the neck angle right and make it a lot more playable.

These ukes typically have a metal ring on the back edge of the tone ring.  That part is missing.  Otherwise the instrument is original and works well.  No case.  Will be double boxed for shipment.
