Three day UPS air shipments will be automatic for buyers including these states and those to the east of them: Montana, South Dakota, Nebraska, Kansas, Oklahoma, Texas.  Shipments will require signature on delivery, no exceptions.  If there is damage, the buyer must retain all packing materials intact and picture them immediately and send them to sales@maharsvintageguitars.com.  Less than 2% of our shipments are damaged in transit, and we are committed to making sure your item arrives safely, but we are taking these additional measures to make sure you are happy with your purchase.   

This 1961 ES-175 D was a beautiful platform for a player's guitar project. The headstock was repaired ages ago and is totally stable.  The guitar was loved and played, and with the exception of the headstock break, was not abused. 

The frets and fretboard show the years of play that this guitar enjoyed.  The fretboard has some divots, but no so many or so deep that it needs work.  The frets are playable, which might make it sound like they're horrible - they aren't - but you'll want to change them out eventually.

There are no extra holes, repairs, cracks, binding issues or anything else going on with the guitar.  The neck is true.  It was strung when we received it, and it played really well.  The truss rod is effective.  

Now to the restoration work.  I found a late 70's Gibson ES-175 harness, in full.  It included embossed, patent number pickups, pots, switch and the output jack, all with original solders from 1978.  One pot shield was removed, but the rest is unmolested with all original solders.  A setup like that routinely goes for up to $1000, if you can find one.

The original switch grommet is in place, with the standard little crack in it.

The tailpiece is vintage, but the source is unknown.  

The bridge is quite obviously not original, but it works great and allowed us to set the action and intonation with accuracy.  

The knobs - not sure of their origin.

Tuners are reproductions, as are the pickup rings.  The original pickguard has been replaced along with the hardwood/dowel front PG mount. (see pictures)

I will double box the guitar with lots of packing material for shipping.
