By the time this Les Paul Standard was built in 1995, Gibson had left the dark ages far behind.  This is evident in the group of 1990s Gibson instruments that have paraded through here over the last few months, none lasting very long.

This LP has seen some changes that make it a great one for a player, or maybe a platform for the next owner to modify and dial in for themselves.

But before we get to that, you should know that the original frets are in excellent condition, the truss rod has been checked and there is room for future neck relief adjustments.  The guitar is not free of wear, but it isn't beat up and abused.

The changes are positive.  There is a set of Grover tuners in place of the originals.  The bridges are Gotoh replacements.  The bridge pickup is a Duncan '59 - "Designed to deliver classic P.A.F. tone with modern construction, the ’59 (SH-1) vintage output humbucker pickup’s open, detailed sound and sweet top end make it the perfect choice for rock and blues.".  The neck pickup...  We're pretty certain it isn't original, but it isn't labeled so it isn't clear what it is.  The pots and switch are original.

All told, this is a great player and a solid guitar that you'll enjoy as-is, or if you modify it thoroughly.
