This is a killer, player's Telecaster has an original 1972 neck on an aged MJT Telecaster Custom body and is loaded with a bunch of nice parts.

The guitar's playability is increased greatly by a professional refret and nut replacement - the neck doesn't feel like a played 70s Fender with the typical worn frets.  The finish on the neck is original and there are no holes added by tuner changes or any other mods.  The tuners are original 70s Fender 'F" machines.

The double bound MJT body is just plain cool looking, and it is light too. The whole guitar weighs just 7 pounds, 2.5 ounces.  Original, 70's parts on the body seem to be limited to the bridge and control plate, which was nicely cloth-wired with a modern CRL switch, CTS pots, and a cool Russian or Ukranian paper in oil tone capacitor.

A pair of Duncan Antiquity pickups round out the electronics, and an aged Real Life Relics pickguard rounds out the authentic, aged look of the guitar.

We did notice while setting up the guitar that the truss rod is very nearly loosened all the way, but it set up perfectly with 10-46 gauge strings.  Adding measurable relief to the neck from where it sits isn't possible, so lighter strings would likely result in some fretting out at higher frets.  With the 10s or higher, the guitar is golden.

Modern Fender hard case included.
