The Fender Reggie Hamilton Jazz Bass V Custom Shop 2003 is a high-end, versatile instrument that combines elements from both Jazz and Precision basses to offer a wide range of tonal options.

The instrument combines a Precision Bass pickup in the middle position with a Jazz Bass pickup at the bridge, allowing for a variety of tonal options. The Precision pickup offers a thicker, punchier sound, while the Jazz pickup provides more clarity and brightness.

This model is equipped with an active/passive switch, giving players the choice between the traditional passive Fender tone and the more modern, punchy active tone. This flexibility makes the bass suitable for a wide range of genres.

High-mass bridge for improved sustain and stability.  High-quality tuners for precise tuning stability, plus a stock Drop A tuner on the low string..  Volume controls for each pickup, a master tone control, and a preamp with bass, mid, and treble adjustments when in active mode.

Being a Custom Shop model, the 2003 Reggie Hamilton Jazz Bass V benefits from superior craftsmanship, attention to detail, and high-quality materials. These instruments are often hand-built by skilled luthiers, resulting in exceptional playability and sound.

Purchased as part of a large collection of instruments, all of which were lightly played, if at all, and as such the bass is in near mint condition with barely any fret wear.  The original protective plastic layer is still present on the pickguard.

The bass set up perfectly and there is room in the truss rod for future neck relief adjustments.  The active/passive switch is a little sticky, but other than that there are no changes, issues or repairs.

The original case, COA, and paperwork are included.
