SOLD - Gibson Les Paul Conversion 1955 LP Special to 1959 Burst - Brian Monty
$0.00*Pics added - a customer asked for pics of the binding as the original pic run left some angles out that he wanted to see.
This Les Paul Standard Conversion started out as a 1955 Les Paul Special, itself a standard in tone.
Brian Monty, a Canadian luthier who is renown for his own creations, has built a strong following amongst those seeking the legendary tone of the '59 Les Paul Burst.
Most of us will never handle, or perhaps even see in person, a '59 Les Paul. This guitar gets you just about as close as you can to the guitar that sets the standard for players and collectors.
70+ year old mahogany and Brazilian Rosewood meet old growth Eastern maple and a beautiful finish that was performed by one of the big Makeover outfits back in 2009.
The ReWind humbucker pickups sound fantastic. The feel of the vintage shaped neck is simply perfect, and the guitar rings like the legend it emulates.
The picture of the Gruhn appraisal was passed along from the original owner, see pics.
